Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil / Structural / Marine Engineer with experience in the LNG industry. Local candidates preferred as there is no relocation assistance or per diem. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required. The Senior Civil / Structural / Marine Engineer is responsible for providing technical assurance and guidance during the development and detailed design phases of the regasification, liquefaction, and infrastructure being developed. The work includes, but is not limited to, quay / bulkhead / pier design, site preparation, foundation design, structural steel design, and building design. The Senior Civil / Structural / Marine Engineer will evaluate the EPC Contractor deliverables to ensure the designs are safe, fit-for-purpose and meet industry codes and project specifications. This role will also monitor the construction and installation of related civil, structural and marine activities, including site preparation work. Additional responsibilities include: Participates in assigned phases of the technical development, design, and implementation of site and marine works Participates in project development efforts by coordinating quality assurance reviews and providing feedback on engineering documents and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and specifications; recommends the implementation of efficient construction techniques and scheduling to ensure readiness for early works to support project construction Monitors and provides project status updates to project management and project development; advises on conditions and activities that may impact the development, completion or performance of project and facilities Participates in project meetings, reviews, and workshops; performs quality assurance reviews and inspection of design and effectively applies knowledge of safe-work processes and procedures to ensure the design and installation are safe Skills / Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in the LNG Industry Bachelor's Degree (minimum) or Master's Degree (preferred) in Civil / Structural or Marine Engineering discipline PE or SE license is preferred Proficient knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and standards Proficient with industry software (STAAD Pro, Fdn 3D, Mat 3D, LPILE, DSAnchor, RAM, MathCAD, etc) Able to provide guidance and direction to a project team Able to recommend solutions to technical issues during the course of performing assignments Able to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to the assignment / task Able to create functional and cost effective designs that meet project requirements Able to analyze and interpret civil / structural /marine drawings Demonstrates a proficiency in understanding project planning Proactively communicates across work groups to resolve barriers and applies sound technical skills Conducts work in a professional manner Good interpersonal and team working skills, builds positive relationships Good verbal and written communication skills Creative and innovative in finding solutions Enthusiastic, conscientious, and committed to continuous professional development High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of daily work Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable Company Overview Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
