Position Summary The primary responsibility of this position is to set up and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc Controls. Lathes are equipped with 8" - 50" chucks. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Perform own setups Read and interpret blueprints Transfer CNC programs via DNC system Perform own inspection Adjust speeds and feed for various materials Complete all necessary paperwork Qualifications REQUIRED Minimum (5) years recent experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist Prior experience with CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Ability to edit programs for tool position, adjust speeds and feeds and set or adjust offsets and Work Shifts Computer skills and shop math Additional Information WORKING CONDITIONS This position is considered SHOP/INDOOR WORK which is characterized as follows. We are a "Safety First" shop We operate 3 shifts a day/24 hours day. The Shop is well maintained with excellent lighting. The machines are well maintained with PMs performed annually. The machines are routinely cleaned and coolant changed. The Shop is Air Conditioned. The Shop is very clean and organized. We utilize tooling Vending machines When outdoors, humidity is frequently above 90% Noise is rarely over 85 decibels. Primarily indoors. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. OCCASIONAL Use repetitive movements of the arms and hands. Twist, sit with back supported, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated Work with arms extended below the waist, unsupported, elbows flexed, wrist supported and unsupported.
