About the Role
Weatherford is seeking for a Wireline Field Engineer II full time permanent role based in Emerald, QLD, to operate the Slimline geophysical logging unit providing data for our customers in Qld and/or NSW.
Responsibilities
Safely operate geophysical logging unit in mining and exploration environments.
Perform quality control checks on all acquired geophysical data.
Maintain company equipment, including logging unit and geophysical tools and associated equipment.
Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Qualifications
6-12 months of experience in Geophysical logging in a mining environment is preferred
General mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability is essential
Familiar with geophysical tools and software is preferred
MR license is preferred
Radiation License is preferred
One man team who can work independently with great attention to details
Self-motivator, abililty to work autonomously in remote locations
Good communication skills
Physically fit
Mobilisation Requirements
FIFO role (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) depending on business needs *this can change from time to time
