We manage the buying process and engage in commercial sourcing management in order to achieve the best contractual conditions and best results for company. Partner with the best This position will play a key role in coordination fulfilment for critical Raw Material and key suppliers. It will also support the Procurement leader as part of the escalation group for coordination with Sourcing category Managers and Plant Buyers. The Procurement escalation Group will also drive visibility on Material shortages through continuous enhancement of analytical tools in collaboration with Digital team.As a Procurement Leader, you are also responsible for leading the order fulfilment including purchase order placement and management, on-time delivery of products and services, and on-time payment to suppliers. In addition, you will act as the key point of contact for suppliers on all purchase order related activities, reports, and business relationship. In this role, you will be responsible for:Managing purchase order execution and product delivery, including placement of on-time schedule agreements, mitigation of billing adjustments / terminations and execution of cost reduction goals.Drive KPIs including OTD, Supplier Performance management, Delivery acknowledgement and Requisition conversion.Making purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and policiesIndependently identifying, selecting, and managing vendors and suppliers using criteria such as quantity and quality of products/services, price, and delivery dateDeveloping, issuing, and analyzing RFQs to secure most competitive bidsSelecting and negotiating with approved vendors.Working closely with Sourcing Leader on sourcing category strategy, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, supplier approval, supplier onboarding, etc.Handling special projects as assigned Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will have:a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Materials or a related field with proven experience working in Procurement, Sourcing, and/or Project Management.10 years of procurement or supply chain experience; it would be preferred, but is not required, that this include experience with chemical manufacturing.Comfort traveling up to 30% for work within North America.Good working IT knowledge and be comfortable using a variety of software tools including Excel, Power Point and any MRP, SAP, Ariba systemsSound negotiating and problem-solving skillsAbility to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsProject Management ExperienceAbility to work in a cross-functional team and demonstrate consistent forward progress.Willingness to work overtime as needed to support the team Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
