A major oil and gas operator is looking for a OSC Senior Analyst/Programmer to support their Operations Support Center and Drilling department in Spring, TX on a M-F schedule working 8 hr shifts with flexibility for support day or night. This is a one year contract opportunity with the potential for extension or permanent hire. Description:Responsible for providing support for wells by maintaining & further developing internal applications. The Analyst enables application users to provide information that minimizes non-productive time, reduces risk, aid inoptimizing operations, and captures information for use throughout the organization. The OSC Analyst is the first line of technical support for the OSC group. The OSCAnalyst independently identifies possible software problems, notifies the OSC Superintendent with the findings, and applies corrections. If an issue requires a higherlevel of expertise, the Analyst consults the experts available to provide a solution for remedial action as quickly as possible.Responsibilities include:Maintain Business User Develop Applications1. Maintain in house applications, break fix2. Perform system testing & user acceptance testing with subject matter expert3. Ensure adequate documentation of solutions is created and maintainedApplication Development:1. Develop bolt on functionality to existing in house applications2. Develop new application3. Perform system testing & user acceptance testing with subject matter expertQA/QC Data:1. Ensure the real-time data is streaming and the values are correct.Report:1. Weekly work summary2.
