Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting Advance Scaffolder to join our team in Brunei. Purpose / RoleTo deliver a high quality, consistent and competent scaffolding construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures.To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule.To ensure all that all workscope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environmentKey aims and objectivesTo perform all required discipline tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specificationsPrime responsibilities and dutiesRead, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the scaffolding workscope is completed safely and to a high standard.Reports directly to Services Supervisor, but will normally work under the direction of the scaffolding foremenControl and direct a team of scaffolders working independently on a platform or at a remote location.Ensure approved procedures are adopted for the erection, modification and dismantling of all types of scaffoldingComplete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketchesProvide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.Raising applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner.Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.Allied occasional dutiesParticipate and contribute to Wood's Emergency Response procedure and process.Participate and contribute in Wood's nationalisation/personnel development programmesBe aware of and practice fully the requirement for total safety attitude in all operationsAssist with other trades (within capability) Skills / Qualifications Skills / Qualifications Qualifications and Training: Essential: Advanced Scaffolder Level 2 Testimonials Verifiable Evidence - CV TBOSIET/Approved Offshore Medical IMIST Safe Erection and Dismantling - Complex Desirable: Manual Handling S.O.W. Experience Essential: Demonstrable experience post scaffolding advance training coupled with current relative experience. 5 years offshore as a scaffolder Desirable: Preferably a Bruneian Personal qualities, aptitudes and skills Ability to communicate effectively with team members Demonstrate commitment to working safely at all times Flexible - able to comply with company and client requirements Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative Has a desire to learn and develop within the role and also develop others as part of nationalisation programme Competencies - generic Possesses a decent standard in spoken and written English Comply with operational and safety manuals and procedures Possesses a good understanding of safe working practices and can demonstrate commitment to safe working at all times.
