Position Summary Support the Gateway Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) System, a critical sub-system of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon Duties & Responsibilities Apply principals of Fault Management & Systems Autonomy (FMSA) for evaluation of system level requirements Assist in the formulation of system design, definition of concept of operations and system analysis for failure mode and effects. Tasks may also include assistance with Computer Based Control Systems (CBCS) development and validation of its contents Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses Work and present schedule and progress to customers Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment Perform other duties as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications REQUIRED BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and 8+ years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and 7+ years of related engineering experience, or Ph.D. from an accredited engineering school and years of related experience will be considered.
