Position Summary This is a leadership position within the SE&I group responsible for performing systems engineering functions during the entire project lifecycle for space-rated equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Planning and coordinating SE&I activities across disciplines within projects and between projects, including prioritization. Mentoring junior SE&I staff to enhance proficiency and approving their work products. Defining, validating, and tracking verification of system requirements from all sources. Leading and supporting trade studies to refine the system architecture, design solutions, and operational approaches. Developing verification and validation plans and statements. Supporting verification and validation testing and documentation. Creating and maintaining SE&I data and models. Ensuring productive cross-discipline information flow in integrated product teams. Leading the planning, execution, and close-out of project design reviews. Identifying and monitoring project risks and contributing to risk mitigation plans and activities. Developing systems engineering presentations and documents. Maintaining professional relationships with customers, partners, and sub-contractors; and Supporting project management reviews. Qualifications Required: BS or master's degree in systems Engineering or relevant Engineering field and a 5+ years experience. Experience with requirements management (Cradle, DOORS, etc.) and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, teammates, and management at all levels Proficiency with Microsoft Office products US Citizenship required Requisition Preferences: Experience with the design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space-rated systems, especially human-rated space systems Experience with NASA JSC Flight Hardware Life Cycle, Certification, and Engineering processes Professional Systems Engineering and/or Project Management certification A minimum of 2 years of team lead experience Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified candidates will receive consideration for all positions without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or other non-merit factors.
