Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer in order to grow its Perth Mining & Minerals group to meet the large demand in critical metals projects. Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects. Working in our newly fitted offices in the Perth CBD, we have an onsite gym with five-star end of trip facilities. As part of this role, key tasks and accountabilities will include: Coordinate activities performed by engineers and designers from one engineering discipline to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications Coordinate and assures technical excellence of interdisciplinary project deliverables Provide support to the business through liaison with vendors Develop understanding of relevant engineering and HSES procedures and standards Alerts more senior project engineering personnel in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes Under close direction and guidance, coordinate discipline input to deliverables including Process/Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams and, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Special Piping Item Lists and Requisition Index Ability to coordinate inputs of a single engineering discipline within one office location Skills / Qualifications What will set you apart from other applicants will be your previous experience as a Project Engineer / Project Coordinator on a large mining project within an engineering company. You will also have: A minimum of 8 years experience as a Project Engineer, ideally from a mechanical background Tertiary engineering qualifications from a recognised university Understanding of technical work scopes, key dates and milestones Familiar with multi discipline activities to coordinate the project engineering activities Excellent client focus and customer satisfaction Understanding of how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Project Engineering deliverables Knowledge of standards, procedures and work practices; following project execution flow chart; developing skills in project and technical execution Ability to coordinate activities of small team; leadership skills Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.
