Overview / Responsibilities We are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation / Electrical Designer with 5+ years of Instrumentation / Electrical Design experience to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent basis. Responsibilities: To deliver and check best practice Instrumentation, Control and Electrical design and documentation in alignment with the Company organisational and Client requirements Participate in design reviews Ensure that design activities are performed within allocated project budgets and time constraints to ensure tasks are delivered on time and in a cost-effective manner. Maintain and apply a working knowledge of design standards and codes Ensure that all design deliverables have been prepared, checked and approved in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance system and drafting procedures Work in conjunction with other Discipline Designers, Engineers and supervisors to support engineering project delivery Readily takes ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on a project Skills / Qualifications 5+ yrs. experience in Instrumentation / Electrical Design industrial engineering or approved equivalent Strong knowledge in applying relevant Instrumentation / Electrical Design industry design practices and key national and international standards and codes Good written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project team Ability to deliver best practice design and drafting, with emphasis on cost-effective design Good attention to detail Expertise in Auto CAD & MicroStation is mandatory Experience in 3D modelling (PDMS), SPI advantageous Knowledge of and exposure to key Clients in onshore Oil and Gas / CSG industry Knowledge of and site experience with field Electrical / instrumentation equipment, including Hazardous Area installations. Experience of working with Operations and Commissioning is desirable High degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs Relevant approved Certificate from a State Education Department or Technical Education Department or equivalent Behavioural Qualities Responsibilities: Aspire to excellence, self-starter and motivated individual Good team player Ability to perform under minimal supervision Ability to stay in touch with the latest developments in relevant technologies HSSEQ Responsibilities: Read, understand and obey the HSSEQ policies arrangements/procedures and rules as issued Always work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments as provided Take care of your own health and safety whilst at work, and ensure your activities do not adversely affect the health and safety of others Report to immediate supervisor all incidents, which have or could result in personal injury or environmental damage Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
