Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with team leader and product manager. Analyze requirements and recommend solutions through architecture discussions. Document the design, seek feedback and defend the design by showing values and usage. Work independently and possess a level of engineering competency necessary to complete and execute engineering project tasks with minimal oversight. Sift through complex technical issues/problems and focus on the critical priorities and perform necessary tasks to identify a viable solution in the least possible time Serving as primary point of contact for manufacturing employees to clarify questions on drawings and designs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or universityMinimum 4 years of engineering experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry Minimum 4 years of experience working with CAD software for mechanical engineering design of industrial productsDesired Characteristics Minimum 4 years relevant work experience and knowledge of applied mechanical engineering design, analysis, and verification of electronic packaging, mechanisms, and assemblies in an industrial environmentExperience working with Solidworks and Solidworks simulationKnowledge and experience of different forming processes including injection molding, thermoforming, sheet metal design, casting, weldingUnderstanding of commercial standards as applied to electronic packagingSelf-starter, energizing and results orientedEffective problem identification and solution skills while coordinating several projects simultaneouslyExperienced with safety and hazardous standards such as IEC60079 and IEC61010Standard office abilities, e.g. web, word processing, and electronic spreadsheet / presentation skillsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to perform in a team environment, across functions, and with customer and suppliersAbility to lead/influence others in cross-functional environmentsAbout Us: With operations in over 120 countries, we provide better solutions for our customers and richer opportunities for our people.
