Job Description:Perform functions of cost control including control estimate, regular cost reporting, cost analysis, and forecastsAssist Project Managers with development of individual project control budgetsCoordinate development, submittal, and approval of AFEs & AFRs at CarvilleWork with Project Managers to setup assets and facilitate project close-out upon project completionEnsure that development of control budgets and schedules are suitable for use as the baseline documents for measurement of project goalsEnsure that plans and schedules are supported by logic network diagrams where appropriate.Ensure that appropriate cost estimates are provided for the project including all costs to engineer, procure, and construct the projectProvide guidelines for allocating costs according to TotalEnergies Code of AccountsMonitor costs, schedules and scope changes from basic engineering phase through detailed engineering, procurement, construction and startupAttend engineering and construction meetings to review material status, work force requirements, schedule, coordination efforts, deliverables, problems and corrective actionsPrepare monthly reports to show current status, updated milestones, and critical path events.Monthly maintenance of the CAPEX working copy cost tracking files for both SM and PS plants.Updates of monthly storyboards for major projects.Completion of deliverables for both the annual Long Term Plan and and Budget development processes, including development of all slides, forms and databases.  Qualifications: Engineering, Construction Management degree and/or 5 years relevant industry project controls experienceKnowledge of SAP in the areas of FI/CO, Plant Maintenance, and Project TrackingMinimum of 5 years experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera P3Experience in preparation and analysis of project budgets and project schedulesKnowledge of mechanical equipment such as exchangers, vessels, towers, drums & pipingStrong analytical skills, attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent computing skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and including Microsoft AccessReporting to Key Individuals:The PCS reports directly to the Capital Projects Group Leader at the Carville Complex whom may direct specific job duty requests on a daily basis.The PCS also works closely with the Senior Cost Control Specialist for the IPG Group in La Porte, TX on a basis when needed, and importantly at month end cost closing cycles and forecasts.The PCS also works closely with the Senior Cost Control Specialist for the IPG Group in La Porte, TX when the yearly budgets and long term plans are developing.
