Achieve highest HSE performance while providing direction and assistance to work group.You will set the Cell operations structure, ensuring compliance of deliverables to plan inclusive of equipment and cost control.As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for:Sharing your expertise in a specific area, such as industrial hygiene, injury & illness, ergonomics, electrical safety, process safety management, etc. and/or providing general health & safety advice and support for multiple sites or a region.Advising Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own fieldPreparing and updating site specific HSE policies and procedures.Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.Contributing to projects as a team member or leading small projectsResponding to deployment to project site exigencies, emergency situations, or responding to incidents or accidentsAttending safety committee meetings and functional roundtable workgroups to keep abreast of industry standard and emerging policies and trend to maintain HSE complianceFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a high-school diploma or equivalent;Have 3 years of proven experience in hands-on HSE site operational environmentsHave some experience in an ISO 14001 environment (audit leadership preferred).Have solid hands-on knowledge of oil and gas industry, including federal and provincial HSE regulations for Alberta, Canada.Be able to show good problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skillsHave the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instruction, and procedure manualsHave excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organizationPossess excellent oral and written communication skillsAs part of our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities in which we operate, this role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 prior to beginning work.
