Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting for a Technical Writer to join our Digital and Information Technology team. Ideally this role will be based in Perth, however those in elsewhere in Australia are encouraged to apply. This role is offered as a full-time permanent staff position with ongoing career development opportunities and flexible working arrangements. The position reports to the Development Manager with an immediate start. Adapting quickly to your new role, you will develop high-quality technical content for a variety of formats including manuals training guides, and functional documentation. Tapping into your excellent written and spoken English communication skills, you will work effectively with our technical staff and end-users. With a sharp eye for detail and technically savvy, this role offers the opportunity to use your talents to seamlessly assist in smoothing the challenges facing our customers. In this unique role, your accountabilities will include: Developing and writing product documentation including online help information, manuals and training guides Gathering technical information through observation and liaising with software developers and engineers Using existing secondary information sources for technical information Ensuring documentation updates are routinely high quality and provided in a timely manner Other elements of the role are: Assist clients and the team in building, maintaining and improving databases using in-built tools Assist customers in improving their database understanding Elevate support requests as required Communicate with developers to ensure efficient and effective support Communicate with customers / users to provide effective support Monitor global support requests from customers / users Support other discrete packages / work as required from time-to-time Join us in the heart of Perth's CBD at Dexus Place - 240 St Georges Terrace, free 24/7 access to an exclusive on-site gym, superb end of trip facilities, coffee machines serving on demand and plenty of spaces to support your creativity.
