Please click here to learn more about our Analytical Instruments business.Based in Boulder, CO, the Materials Planner is responsible for keeping the production schedule on track for their assigned product lines and/or areas. The Materials Planner will ensure the timely production of products, material requisitions, and inventory management related to their established areas.Key Characteristics Team player, demonstrated pro-active and self-starter behaviorAbility to communicate information and data efficiently and effectively (verbal and written)Customer service and results orientedHigh sense of urgency and able to work under pressureStrategic thinker, willing to challenge the status quoDuties & ResponsibilitiesTimely creation and execution of all production orders and purchase requisitions to support the established product lines and new product lines. Manage inventory based on production demand and purchase orders by collaborating with sourcing, planning and vendors. Maintain proper supply/ demand alignment by expediting, delaying, or canceling purchase orders when requiredWork with product management team and management on what materials are needed for their product lines as well as work with sales and supply chain to validate trends. Provides recommendation to supply chain management and product management to maintain adequate levels of inventory by forecasting demands. Analyzing data and looking for disconnects to determine material demand to create purchase orders in the system.
