Electrical & Controls QA Inspector Responsible for ensuring quality standards and testing procedures for discipline scope performed by subcontractors meets industry standards and project specifications. Oversee and audit subcontractor QC testing, record keeping, inspections and field installation. Must be capable of reading and understanding industrial construction drawings and understand how to use CAD modeling. Must be able to spend long periods of time standing & walking, climb stairs, tanks, vessels, and equipment. Work in confined spaces. Job requires 80/20 field/office time with extensive time walking, standing with moderate physical exertion performing inspections. Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with CM Engineering and Construction departments to make sure the quality standards are clearly understood by all construction coordinators and subcontractors.Regularly writes field inspection reports identifying inspection quality information and feedback to construction management team and subcontractors.Experience in performing work charged with inspection with ability to accurately in progress and completed work.Walk down of subcontractor turnover work packages for systems completion.Assist with pre-commissioning / commissioning inspections and document processing.Actively perform work safely and participate in BBSOP observation process while performing regular assigned field work.Skills and Experience:10+ years construction experience, with supervisor experience in technical field, Oil, Gas and Chemicals environment preferred.QA based decision making, basis and data collection for project analysis.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Solid background in discipline inspection with minimum 5 years' inspection experience.Discipline Inspection certifications preferred.With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
