The person in this role will develop strong partnerships with our life science customers to expand our robust install base, generate new sales opportunities, and facilitate the success of our end users, traveling to regional client sites in Canada. You will present our industry leading solutions, utilize your commercial expertise to expand networks at regional conferences, and collaborate with our cross-functional teams to support customer accounts. This is a rapidly growing region in the life science space, and our commercial group is looking to add a team member who will achieve yearly sales targets, grow the business through customer focus and develop professionally through internal and external training opportunities.Duties & Responsibilities Generate new business using existing and potential customer networksManage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term successDevelop positive relationships with clientsOnboard and manage distribution partners in the Canadian marketAct as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needsResolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely mannerReport on the status of accounts and transactionsSet and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives. Monitor sales metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Attend company sponsored trade shows within the territory and bring awareness to local or regional conferences that would help create sales opportunities in the territoryHave a technical understanding of our competitors' products and sales distribution Travel within territory to customer sites to develop and maintain business, perform equipment demos as needed, and assist in the sale of aftermarket productsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Bilingual in English and French preferredExcellent communication skillsExperience with analytical instruments preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industriesStrong interpersonal and customer focused skillsIn-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and marketsExcellent problem-solving skillsSelf-motivatedExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environmentEducation & ExperienceRequired:Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Sciences discipline5 years or more capital equipment sales work experience requiredPreferred:5 years or more analytical instruments capital equipment sales work experience preferredWorking Conditions Travel within Canada and the United States =50% Ability to lift/carry up to 45lbsValid driver's license requiredAt SUEZ, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
