Overview / Responsibilities Wood Environment & Infrastructure Americas. (Wood) is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our US Remediation team. Construction Project Management assures the quality and integrity of each project, leading teams to safely execute projects on schedule and within budget. Using in-house remediation/environmental construction management procedures and supporting resources (pre-construction, project controls, quality, safety, and finance), the project manager provides continuity and consistency to deliver quality projects to our clients. This full-time position can be located anywhere within the United States. Projects are located throughout the U.S. and typically include: • Remediation via excavation • Construction of soil vapor extraction systems • In-situ thermal and chemical oxidation • Cap/cover construction • Sediment dredging and stabilization • Impoundment closure • Groundwater pump and treat systems • Installation of retainage systems (e.g., slurry walls and/or sheet walls) • Decommissioning, demolition, and Site closure preparation • Interior strip-out and renovation • Environmental decontamination and abatement • General civil site work • Associated ancillary components/tasks (e.g., piping, electrical, PLC and HVAC installations) Remote position includes approximately 20-50% travel to support major projects for a wide range of industrial, commercial, federal, state, and municipal clients across the U.S. Leads construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets, and schedules. Generally responsible for 1-3 projects with cumulative value up to $50M. Skills / Qualifications Full project performance (safety/quality/financial/schedule), project reporting, leading internal staff and coordinating subcontractors, client and stakeholder communications Familiarity with the design-build, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), and design-bid-build procurement and execution for various construction project types. Coordinate with project controls group to drive project planning including scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Coordinate with pre-construction group supporting subcontractor sourcing, budget estimating, bidding, and proposals. Coordinate with finance group to optimize project margins and internal accounting metrics. Coordinate with procurement support to establish subcontracts and procure goods/services. Coordinate with commercial to establish contracts, understand risks, and communicate to stakeholders. Coordinate with quality and safety departments to ensure safe execution of the work to the specified quality standards. Proactive issue management from kick-off through closeout. Understanding of means and methods associated with construction, remediation technologies, decommissioning, demolition, civil type work, specifications, and construction drawings General understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and building systems Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to team members. Act as a steward of safety in all aspects of project delivery. Ensure all workers receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with company and client requirements. Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation and other project-specific requirements, in accordance with client/contract document specifications and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Understand and manage the industrial relations environment impacting the site and report any issues as Work with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability and throughout the project as necessary to optimize successful project delivery.
