Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanica l to work as part of their Production Support Team (supporting Offshore Operations) and will be reporting to DPE Maintenance Team Lead for a period of 12 months. Scope of Work: Helideck Inspections/Audits-responsible for tracking, rectifying, and closing out internal/external audit actions as required. This will include audits by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). Helideck Maintenance-Develop and implement strategies for maintenance activities such as perimeter safety net drop testing/replacement. Review and align all planned maintenance assurance routines (PMAR) based on recent inspections. Rig Jacking System-co-ordination of training for offshore personnel, developing a maintenance strategy / implementation of planned maintenance assurance routines. Structural Repairs-supporting and co-ordinating structural repairs of equipment such as boat landings and subsea caissons. Critical Spares Review-review critical spares for helideck facilities, jacking system and single point mooring buoys (SPM) as required. Other-supporting other projects as and when required such as-cranes, building maintenance, SPM refurbishment , subsea and large-scale topside piping. Skills / Qualifications Experience Profile: Engineer with minimum of 10+ years project / mechanical engineering experience in an offshore oil and gas environment. Must have working knowledge and experience of oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices. Experience in following areas: Helideck/aviation facilities, subsea, structural repairs, Single Point Mooring Buoy's (SPM) and rig jacking systems . Educational Qualifications: Must be degree qualified from a recognised university in Mechanical Engineering. Competencies/Skills/Others: Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative. Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English. Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion. Willingness to interact directly with people. Good presentation skills. Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints. Note that the Engineer will initially work remotely, but may be expected to locate to DPE Main office later depending on internal COVID guidance. Engineer will also be required to travel offshore.
