Overview / Responsibilities Offshore Construction Manager - Hull (Site Based) Wood Process & Energy are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with demonstrable Offshore & Onshore expertise to support a Rough Gas Storage Facility project for a duration of 12 months, based in Humberside. To be considered you must be able to demonstrate understanding of Temporary works and in particular the applicability and key roles of BS 5975 to works in the UK, c onsiderable experience in the preparation of construction estimates for Concept, FEED and EPCm, plus the planning and execution and closeout of complex scopes. The opportunity will ensure discipline expertise to the business and our client, e stablishing and maintaining effective working relationships while communicating across the business interfaces. You will have: Demonstrable experience of construction input to design, examples of construction input to concept, FEED and EPCm. Understanding of the key roles in CDM 2015. Demonstrable experience of brown field FEED and EPCm project in the UK both onshore and offshore. Main Responsibilities: Executing assigned scopes of work in a timely manner and within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedules. Reviewing planned activities for constructability and provide accurate feedback. Executing assigned scopes of work as a role model for reports. Provide technical expertise and guidance on all construction related activities. Managing and leading all construction reports to ensure delivery against milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities. Set and apply strategic and tactical direction with regard to policy / procedures, work force staffing, and budgeting. Mentoring, supervising and supporting development for reports, ensure learning opportunities are captured and realised. Management of Field Construction works. Effective delegation to ensure the continuity of work scope execution. Skills / Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Time served relevant discipline in NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND. Extensive years relevant Offshore & Onshore Construction Management experience. Experience of people management in Construction with s ufficient experience within a Lead role. Oil & Gas, Petrochemical experience. Exposure to working within a Technical environment. Role-Specific Skills: Excellent interpersonal organisational, communication and team building skills. Ability to advise system and subsystem priorities within construction activities with a view to achieving early handover. Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge. Ability to be assertive and drive culture change when required, monitor work progress and report against the plan. Proven experience of interpreting discipline documentation. Detailed knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), HAZCON and Constructability. Actively promote wood Health and Safety Executive (HSE) policy procedures and initiatives in line with core values. Ensure good communication at all times with contract and project teams. Engage with and promote the construction community including: networking/knowledge sharing. Manage interfaces across functional and business boundaries. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external customers and third party vendors.
