Work in this family typically has the objective of demonstrating through test or analyses the performance and implementation potential of a concept.Partner with the bestAs a Materials Scientist, you will provide a vital service applying the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. You will create new intellectual property, and test hypotheses. You will prototype and evaluate the performance of potential technologies. You will develop new solutions to old and new Oil and Gas materials challenges.You will be responsible for: Providing conceptual or practical activities through applying material science and polymer chemistry knowledge for new product developmentCreate and protect intellectual property for the company Designing and conduct testing, troubleshooting, and scale up of new materials Applying material characterization expertise by using a variety of analytical instruments and conducting analysis on a wide range of materials including polymers, coatings, and nanomaterials Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new solutions to changing business needs Collaborating with research and manufacturing functions throughout product development cycle Delivering solutions as part of a team. Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's Degree in Material Science/ Polymer Chemist/Chemical Engineering and 2+ years' experience Have experience in Materials Science, polymer synthesis and/or characterizationIn-depth understanding of structure-property relationships of polymeric materials Have a knowledge of Advanced Analytical Techniques for Materials and Polymer Characterization Be an excellent team player and display good communication skills Demonstrate excellent written, reporting, and presentation skills As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities in which we operate, this role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 prior to beginning work.
