As a Demand Planner with our supply chain operations, you'll be responsible for directly managing Material Planner(s) and for the development of demand plans that will drive material & production forecasts to ensure timely and cost-effective customer deliveries. The role will work with regional Commercial team members to understand the demand plan, aligning to sales strategy and translating into production, shipping, and inventory forecasts. You'll need to be an analytical thinker, a good leader, and communicator accross Commercial / Finance teams. You will be empowered to make decisions and direct plan changes, using modeling techniques derived from qualitative data, internal and external factors, while representing the supply chain. Key Responsibilites:Work closely with the NAM Commercial team to understand overall demand and specific market segment needs, and translate into inventory and manufacturing run rates to achieve business operating commitmentsEnsure efficient fulfillment through continuously monitoring and managing manufacturing scheduling and material supply flow and processesDevelop and ensure an optimum demand-manufacture-inventory-distribution model to drive the most efficient flow of materials and products at a value cost, service and inventoryContinually analyze the network and implement effective actions and delivery solutions that drive cost, service and cashEnhance current Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process. Develop processes, metrics and cross-functional operating rhythms to ensure cross-functional alignment, focus on critical needs, and drive performanceAdvance projects and process improvements with cross-functional teams. Pursue PSI/supply chain functional excellence in all areasCore Requirements: Education in field of expertise like operations, supply chain management, business (Bachelor's degree) or minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar or related role.Other Useful Skills & Abilities:MRP experience and knowledge in ERP system software (preferably SAP)Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) Process experienceCertification in supply chain APICS, certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or lean/six sigma (Black Belt Lean/Six Sigma training is preferred)Prior supply chain operations and manufacturing experience (chemical plant exp preferred)Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems through data gathering and analyticsWe offer competitive compensation and benefits working in a dynamic environment with challenging projects and training provided to ensure your success.We realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
