Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting for a Construction Engineer - E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our team in Perth, Western Australia as part of its Operations APAC West business. Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Kazakhstan. You will be reporting directly to the Construction & Commissioning Manager and will perform a full range of Front End engineering from the design to execute phase, with potential to oversee the work when it goes offshore. Your scope and responsibilities will be: Creating access workpacks Input into construction feasibility studies for the project Chairing constructability reviews Providing inputs into schedule and estimates Coordinating with personnel offshore At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. Skills / Qualifications You will be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia, and be available for a Wood induction before August 22 nd 2022 to be considered for this role.Suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will have a trade background in striuctural, mechanical or piping although a tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 7+ years field experience within the oil & gas industry, preference would be currently working in a similar office-based role (Engineering / EPCM office) In addition, you will have: Availability for an interview and medical Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen What will set you apart will be your current tickets/licenses for: TBOSIET CA-EBS MSIC Working at Heights (WAH) Trade Certificate or Tertiary Background It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrows solutions to the worlds most critical challenges.
