Overview / Responsibilities Wood is recruiting for an Administrative Department Clerk in Houston, Texas. This is a contract position and is temporary in nature, with opportunity of extension within a Wood Client Company and their offices. The U.S. Administrative Department Clerk will be a member of the Client's General Services team, reporting to the Office Services Supervisor. The Administrative Department Clerk will provide a positive impression to guests and callers to the corporate office by interacting in a professional, courteous, friendly and customer service-oriented manner. The position includes receiving, signing for, accounting for, and delivery of items efficiently and accurately within the complex. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required Responsibilities may include: Greet, announce and direct all guests Answer switchboard and route calls to appropriate employee or department Deliver office supplies within complex Perform mail clerk duties as necessary Operate postage meter equipment and folding / inserting machine Deliver and pickup mail to floors Process outgoing first-class mail, overnight mail, and ground packages Assist with bulk mail outs Interacts with all levels of employees fulfilling corporate, business, and personal mail service requests Skills / Qualifications Qualifications Basic/Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee 1-2 years of experience in a clerical role Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word (data manipulation, tables, and graphs) Preferred: Attention to detail in a fast-paced, high pressure environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional presence High level of integrity and confidentiality Efficient organization, analytical and problem resolution skills Highly responsive, results oriented, self-starter Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals Company Overview Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
