Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently recruiting for a Document Controller with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry to provide support to our Client in the execution of projects in MOZAMBIQUE. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Receive, check, accurately record into DMS system and distribute all project technical drawings and documentation in an efficient and expeditious manner as requested by engineers. This must be done according to agreed Project and Corporate Procedures. Monitor progress of in-house and Client reviews of technical data. Input progress information (received from discipline engineers) accurately at regular intervals specified by the project. Produce reports on documentation and progress as requested. Ensure that record files required are maintained in good order to comply with QA requirements. Contribute to compilation of final project dossiers, as built portfolios and archiving. Produce exception reports on late documentation for management review. Maintain/update DMS database, electronic document repository stores, reports, etc. Develop and maintain the DMS database to record all QA issued documents. Ensure that the progress of in-house and Client reviews of all technical data is closely monitored highlight problem areas to the Lead Project Engineer/ Project Engineering Manager. Co-ordinate the input of progress information (expedited from Discipline Engineers) into DMS at regular cut-off dates specified by the project. Ensure that data is input accurately by the agreed cut-off time and consequent reports are produced according to an agreed project schedule. Resolve any queries on progress mark-up with Discipline Engineers and/or Planning group. Ensure that all documentation and progress reports are produced on time as required and that regular exception reports on late documentation are made available for management review. Constantly review the suitability of DMS reports for project requirements and adapt as required. Check that all record files required by the project are maintained in good order to comply with QA requirements. Provide full co-operation for Wood QA group at internal audits and similarly with third party assessments. Rectify any agreed corrective actions/non-conformities should these arise. Skills / Qualifications Qualifications: Matric as a minimum Tertiary qualification in a suitable field, such as office administration or communication is highly recommended, or sufficient work experience in lieu of qualification. Knowledge, skills and experience: Minimum 2-5 years experience in Project Document Control essential using EDMS Computer literate, in particular in the use of MS Office packages, Sharepoint and database type applications.
