We are currently seeking experienced Directional Drillers (DDx) for contract opportunities across Australia, supporting major onshore and offshore drilling operations. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality directional drilling services, ensuring wellbore placement is achieved safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations. Key ResponsibilitiesExecute directional drilling operations, controlling wellbore trajectory using a range of bottom-hole assembly (BHA) tools and steering techniquesMonitor and interpret real-time downhole and surface data to optimise drilling performanceEnsure all job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered within required timeframesDeliver services in line with client expectations and operational standardsParticipate in job risk analysis, pre-job planning, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport Design and Technical Engineers in implementing drilling programs and tender submissionsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, promoting services and identifying opportunitiesMaintain compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards through audits, self-assessments, and wellsite inspectionsLead Service Quality Meetings and drive performance improvements through structured action plansActively contribute to HSE and quality initiatives across all operationsAdhere to all safety policies, procedures, and training requirementsProvide operational support to Job Delivery Leads and management when requiredRequirementsProven experience as a Directional Driller within oil & gas drilling operationsStrong knowledge of BHA design, well trajectory control, and drilling optimisation techniquesExperience working with real-time drilling data and downhole telemetry systemsDemonstrated commitment to HSE and operational excellenceAbility to work in remote environments on rotational rostersStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teamsRelevant industry certifications and safety trainingThis position requires the full right to work in Australia.
