Storeperson Location: Bayswater, Perth Type of contract : PermanentPeak Well Systems, a wholly owned Schlumberger company, is looking for a Storeperson to join our Bayswater - Perth, WA team.The Storeperson will ensure the timely and satisfactory movement of stock items and consumables in and out of the company's stores and to ensure that the goods received meet the full criteria and specification as per the purchase order requirements in line with established policies, procedures and standards. The position will assist with maintaining minimum/maximum stock levels on all items to ensure that Peak are able to deliver to our customers on time, every time. The Storeperson will also assist with the preparation and allocation of the inventory / stock items in build kits to the assembly team. Requirements: Reside in Perth, Australia or ability to relocate at own expense (no relocation offered) Assist with the receipt of stock and consumable goods into the workshop. Receipt of items from suppliers to be checked against the purchase orders and ensuring no discrepancies. Inspection of goods according to set criteria (numbers, dimensions etc) that will be designated for each type of goods. Develop new inspection criteria for new goods received. Maintain records of goods received and enter into the relevant database. Maintain minimum/maximum levels of goods. Maintain a high level of 5S within the Stores. Allocate goods from stock to the assembly team via build kits. This process is completed against Work Orders that identify the required goods. Assist with the preparation of redress kits for sales and stock activities against issued Assembly Work Orders. Ensure outgoing inventory items are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation Participate in all require stocktaking functions and stock control. Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts Liaise with suppliers in relation to the ordering of goods. Assist with logistics functions for the Perth facility and/or during periods of absence. Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification Excellent work ethic, reliable and self-motivated. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cooperatively with different teams in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions. Meticulous attention to detail with accurate counting, picking and data entry skills is required. Very good computer skills. At least 5 years' experience in an inventory/stores environment, preferably associated with mechanical engineering or manufacturing. Excellent mechanical aptitude. Logistics, stocktake and stock control skills. Valid driver's licence essential.
