Partner with the bestYou will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Including activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.As a Lead Piping Engineer, you will be responsible for:Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.Supervising an in house team of piping engineers as well as verifying engineering produced by a Sub Contractor.Communicating across direct organization. Presenting to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy.Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a Master or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Have substantial experience in Engineering/Technology.Have experience with design of complex piping systems, preferably for subsea applications such as manifolds, flowlines, pipelines, risers, umbilical etc.Demonstrate knowledge of piping calculation methods and software applications, including piping stress analysis programs as well as 3-D Finite Element Analysis program for local verification of piping components.Demonstrate knowledge about specific piping design areas, including HISC verification, VIV, FIV.Demonstrate experience with design of complex piping systems, preferably for subsea applications such as manifolds, flowlines, pipelines, risers, umbilical.Working with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
