As Supply Chain Development Consultant you will be part of DAMCO’s commercial organization in the highly energized and knowledgeable global supply chain development team. Learning new supply chain trends to develop innovative solutions you will be recognized as a subject matter expert and contribute to Supply Chain Development thought leadership across regions. Working closely with DAMCO’s key customers you will have the opportunity to deliver real service innovation, helping to advance DAMCO’s position in the industry and further improve your commercial skills.
This role reports directly to the Regional Head of Supply Chain Development.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial projects with complex regional, functional and product inputs for DAMCO regional and global customers and strategic new pursuits
• Develop winning value propositions to support the growth of existing DAMCO accounts and to attract new business from strategic pursuits
• Deliver quantified, differentiating and sustainable value analysis for supply chain improvement projects through in individual or team based consultancy approach
• Engage directly with DAMCO regional and global customers to conduct supply chain strategy and review workshops
• Provide DAMCO senior management insights and updates in new supply chain concepts and trends
• Represent DAMCO at supply chain events as a subject matter expert in supply chain optimization and DAMCO solutions
• Remote supervision and coaching of Supply Chain Development Analysts in completion of simultaneous supply chain optimization projects
• Interact with the global Supply Chain Development community to share your expertise and learnings on new projects and initiatives to enhance team quality and efficiency

Who we are looking for

• 5+ years’ experience in supply chain management and logistics preferably within a 3PL, consulting firm and/or global corporation
• Expertise in supply chain modelling and analysis, with good knowledge of supply chain optimization methodologies and tools.
• Excellent understanding of logistics solutions and operations covering all modes of international transportation, warehousing and distribution, e-commerce and 4PL solutions
• Subject matter expertise is supply chains of major industry verticals is expected with strong preference for retail, lifestyle / fashion, technology, FMCG, or chemicals
• Consultative sales experience demonstrating customer-centric mindset with direct customer engagement
• Competent in creating written business case recommendations, encompassing financial, service, risk, and pollutant factors
• Innovative and creative thinker, with strong problem solving skills and comfort with managing uncertainties
• Proficient in stakeholder management with proven capability to build strong networks and influence decision makers in a matrix organization structure
• Ability to manage cross functional and remote project teams with well-developed capabilities in project management
• Resilient to change and comfortable with fast shifting priorities, workload and responsibilities
• Self-starter, self-motivator, comfortable with high level of autonomy, while also a team player
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Competent and confident public speaker
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or a similar discipline is required
• Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management & Logistics or MBA is highly desirable
• Fluency in spoken and written English required.
