We are
looking for a new colleague to our Vessel Safety & Tanker Operations team,
who is ready to offer outstanding marine and Nautical support to our fleet and
shore based organization. The position contains great potential for development
and influence.
The Job
This is a
position with a wide range of responsibilities. Among others you will be
responsible for:
- Setting
quality and compliance standards of marine projects and operations, safe
navigational procedures and security for the company
- Responding
to inquiries regarding port information, vessel maneuverability, tank cleaning,
cargo operations, navigational issues, insurance matters, training issues,
vetting inspections and audits
- Navigational
support, guidance and risk assessment to TORM’s Masters to ensure safe navigation
and compliance with navigational procedures and regulations
- Maintaining
a solid overview of tanker operational aspects, including nautical and safety
matters
- Cross-functional
teamwork within the Technical Division and the Tanker Division
- Promoting
and ensuring ownership of TORM’s Safety Management System
- Ensuring
onboard navigational equipment is in compliance
- Investigation
support of accidents/incidents/near misses in nautical matters
- Guidance
and support with regards to tank cleaning and cargo compatibility
- Engaging in
resolving technical issues on assigned vessels
- Support the
ambition of keeping the vessels tradable at all times
- Securing
all ship staff adhere to the company quality guidelines and procedures
Profile
The ideal
candidate will have the following competencies:
- Chief
Officer or Master with in-depth marine experience as Senior Management Deck
officer on tankers vessels
- Relevant
office experience from a shipping company and at least 3 years in similar roles
- Excellent
at team working and motivating vessel staff
- Fluent in
both spoken and written English
- Solid
presentation and facilitation skills
- Customer
focus and ability to communicate easily with both technical and commercial
staff
